Everyone is welcome at The Empire Lyric Players. While the material we present comes from Victorian England, ELPs embraces artistry above “historical accuracy.” We cast capable performers regardless of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age, or anything else for that matter.
If you are unable to attend the auditions and still wish to participate, we invite you to send us a video submission. Video auditions are due no later that 5pm on Friday, March 22nd. Please send your resume (or a write up of your theater experience), headshot, and a YouTube link to your audition video to auditions@elps.org.
AUDITION MATERIAL
Recommended musical selections for male voices.
Recommended musical selections for female voices.
If you bring your own piece, we still prefer to hear music from Gondoliers, and you must provide music for the accompanist.
We ask that cast members under the age of 14 be accompanied by a parent to all rehearsals/performances. For the audition, our younger members are encouraged to sing any material that they choose. Or, if they’d prefer a non-singing spot in the cast, please email president@elps.org so we can plan accordingly.
