The Mikado… IN SPACE! will be unlike anything you’ve seen before…
…unless you’ve seen Menotti’s Help! Help! The Globolinks or Muppets from Space.
Lord High Executioner Ko-Ko has his work cut out for him — er, chopped off for him. If he doesn’t find somebody to dispatch in a hurry, the M’Kado, emperor of the Ja’Paan solar system, is going to expect his head on an electro-platter.
So when a stranger lands on Planet Titipu, the two little space men strike a deal.
Nanki-Poo will part with his head…
if Ko-Ko will part with his intended, the delectable Yum-Yum.
Say it all together now: what could possibly go wrong?
Performances will be July 25, 26, and 27 in the Elaine Wolf theater at the
Mizel Arts and Culture Center
350 South Dahlia Street, Denver, CO 80246.
Rehearsals begin on April 25 and run twice per week:
Fridays 7-10pm and Sundays 1-4pm,
near the Colorado exit off I-25.

The Empire Lyric Players are dedicated to preserving and promoting the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. We’re an amateur organization that creates professional-level productions. Our alumni have sung with opera houses around the world, but we do this for love, as a community of volunteers who believe in local talent.
