Marco and Giuseppe are just a workaday pair of brothers, plying the sunny canals of Venice, until the secret breaks: one of them is actually the long-missing prince of Barataria! Which one? No time for that now – the king has died, and it’s time to assume the throne!
The Palmieris will just have to reign jointly while the courtiers finish sorting all this out.
Their new wives won’t mind waiting up for them, surely?
With effervescent music and irrepressible fun, The Gondoliers will take you for a wild romp through the Old World’s halls of power.

The Empire Lyric Players are dedicated to preserving and promoting the works of Gilbert and Sullivan. We’re an amateur organization that creates professional-level productions. Our alumni have sung with opera houses around the world, but we do this for love, as a community of volunteers who believe in local talent.
